BASEBALL IS HERE!!!! Best time of the year. Winter is on the way out, the days are getting longer, the weather is starting to get warm again and baseball is starting to be played. The thought of spring is giving me a lot of hope as I woke up this morning to 2 inches of snow on the ground. The Phillies have posted some videos of their pitchers and catchers as they made their down to Clearwater, Florida. Let's see what is all going on down in Clearwooder on the first day of spring training.
Aaron Nola cut his hair? This picture makes me feel uncomfortable. Where are the luscious locks at? I like to think that this can only mean one thing. Aaron Nola saw Nick Sirianni shave his head and the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Aaron is just following in his steps in route to the World Series. Fresh season means a fresh cut for Nola. Lets go on and see what is happening over in the front office.
Dave Dombrowksi did his own little pre season press conference today about where all of the players are at before the season gets under way. But there was a catch, the audio was complete garbage. It sounds like a 1920 baseball game being broadcasted over radio. It is impossible to listen to for more than 10 seconds without your ears bleeding. I did not listen to it due to obvious reasons, but if I had to guess Dave is excited for the season. Back to the field where the magic happens.
Taijuan Walker, I had a lot of hopes for you 2 years ago around this time, but it is mostly gone. Mostly, not completely, I have a small sliver left for you Taijuan, do not destroy it please. All I am asking is to not let up 3 runs every time you step on the mound. Oh and who is that looking all cute in the corner.
Cole Hamels what are you doing here. It is nice to have an all time great Philly in Clearwater. Especially one who won a World Series, World Series MVP, and threw a no-hitter. Oh and the jerseys that the players hated so much last year, they are fixed.
Look at that. I can read last names from a mile away. No need to squint while watching a game on the TV.
God damn did I miss the sound of the ball hitting the mitt. Nothing better than it. I Could scroll on Phillies twitter for hours just looking at all of the fun that the team is having now that they are back together. Makes my heart warm as I look outside and see a blanket of white snow. Now we wait until Monday to see how the rest of the team looks for the year. I am going to put my whole bank account on Brandon Marsh grew out his hair and beard. Share with a fellow Phillies fan so we can all fan girl about people that have no idea we exist together.
