I think that hype videos are some of the cheesiest things out there. When I say hype videos I mean the ones where its like a montage of a sport or something with some inspirational speech in the background that is saying things like don't give up on your dreams and to play hard because you only have one life. Those are gay and for losers.
What I am talking about is the clips of sports players in the locker room or something, maybe in a pre game huddle, just talking shit on the other team talking about how they are gonna go down and kick some mother fucking ass. These are in no particular order, just some videos that get me hyped up before whatever I need to get hyped up for, day of work or maybe your mens league game that night. With the all that laid out, lets start the blog
The 2001 Miami Hurricanes are known for being one of the best college football teams of all time. They won the National Championship with ease that year. A fun stat that shows just how good they were that year is that if their offense never scored a touchdown that year, they would still be 8-4. So yeah they were pretty good. Ed Reed was the leader of that team, and he had a pretty sick halftime speech against rivals Florida State. They were up 21-13 at half, and after this speech they scored 28 points in the 3rd quarter. I'd say that the speech worked a little bit.
Next up we got an MLB The Show opening video thingy. The video that plays before you can access the game. Whatever that is called is what this video is. This is from MLB 12 The Show and it showcases the last day of the 2011 season when both wildcard spots were tied. This was back when only one wildcard team made it to the playoff from each league. The music choice is elite. The names of the guys making the plays is such a throwback. You got JJ Hardy, Dan Uggla, Hunter Pence, Chris Carpenter all making features in this video along with many more. There will never ever be a video game intro video that goes as hard as this one.
This next one is also another baseball one. This fires me up for multiple reasons. First the Mets getting shit on is always a good thing. Secondly, Chase Utley is the villain in this video and he is the man and I will do whatever he says. Lastly, Terry Collins being this fired up at the ripe age of 66 is something that comes from only true passion. This is the second time I have talked about this video on the blog, but the MLB is still trying to hide it and take it down so screw them, I will share it again.
Lastly, we got another college football one. This is Kirby Smart's pregame speech before the 2022 National Championship. Georgia would go on and beat Alabama 33-18 for their second straight National Title. To be honest here, if I had a Kirby Smart pregame speech before every game, I would probably be a national champion in something too. Kirby is known for his pregame speeches too. The fact that this is leaked and was probably recorded in another room also increases the hype of the speech. I bet you the janitor was ready to run through a brick wall after he heard this one.
Some honorable mentions is any video of a big play. Something like a huge home run, or a big hit, or a walk off anything. Me personally I love watching the Phillies playoff home runs. I am also going to throw this one in there as an anti hype up speech just because it is so funny because of how bad it is. Poor Andy Dalton is just simply too white and too ginger to ever be a hype man. He could not motivate a staving kid in Africa to make a sandwich. Here is a little something to bring you back down.
