I am not your number 1 eagles fan. I actually get quite the joy when the Eagles lose because their fan base are the biggest losers on the face of the earth. But they are in the big game and I got some thoughts about the game.
First off, they put an absolute ass kicking on the Washington Commanders. Putting up 55 points on any NFL team is no joke, especially in the NFC Championship. If the birds did not whoop the Commanders ass and only won by one score, then the accusations of a cupcake playoff schedule would have been crazy. Shout out the Commanders though for making it this far, they had the number 2 overall pick last year and now they are in the NFC Championship. That's more wins in the playoffs than the Miami Dolphins have had in the last 25 years.
This game did destroy a few of the Eagles narratives that they have had this season. First off, they proved that they are Super Bowl contenders because they made the Super Bowl. Next, Jalen Hurts can actually play quarterback and is not just a running back that gets the ball every play. Lastly, that the New York Giants are actually the worst run franchise in all of sports right now. Who in their right mind lets Saquan Barkley walk. Every single playoff game that guy takes over and dominates it. First Eagles offensive play he takes the ball 60 yards for a touchdown. Commanders should have just packed it in right then and there.
Let's get into some of the fun things that happened this game. Marshon Lattimore is way past his prime physically, but his shit talking game is still there. If only his play could back it up. He literally tried to fight AJ Brown after a tush push TD. Like buddy what are we trying to accomplish here. Here are a couple funny tweets that I saw about him that you might enjoy too
Then there was the whole saga with the tush push at the goal line. When I was a kid, and a teenager, and now, I wondered how close could the ball get to the goal line if there were to be infinite off sides penalties. Well we just about found out today when the Commanders got called for like 5 off sides and encroachment penalties. It is kind of bullshit that the Eagles can sit there and run this play that has like a 90% success rate and the Commanders are doing everything they can to stop it. They did stop it twice today which is pretty good considering how successful it is. But the brotherly shove is not football. It should be banned due to it's illegal formation on the offensive line and is a dangerous play for the offense and the defense. The Eagles ran it 5 straight times on the goal line, that is not how the game is meant to be played. Here are some more funny tweets about the Commanders trying to stop the tush push.

Everything said, the Eagles are in the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in 3 years. Hopefully Jalen Hurts and Pat Mahomes don't have a check down battle again because that was the most boring Super Bowl ever. I was piss drunk watching that with all of my college homies, who were mostly Eagle fans, and it was still boring as hell.
